Elevated work platforms (EWP’s) older than 10 years, need to have a major inspection to ensure their ability to continue being commissioned onsite. This involves dismantling, inspecting, repairing and testing key safety components of the machine. This ensures that the equipment is safe to operate and the integrity of the machine has not been affected.

Does my machine require a 10 year inspection?
All EWP’s older than 10 years from the date of initial compliance require this service. This is carried out in accordance with AS 2250.10-2006. Equipment that fall under this are Scissor Lifts, Boom Lifts, Cranes and Telehandler’s.
What's included in this major inspection?
Machines are provided with a strict checklist. Our experienced team will cover all components and functionality of the equipment that relate to the general working order but most importantly the critical safety components. This will include disassembling the machine to check for cracks and also testing the structural aspect including the welds and steel work. The equipment will then be fitted with a compliance plate which solidifies that the machine has had the inspection and passed. The owner will also be provided with this information and results.
